I would love to go to FLIPPER's Tahoe Apostafest one of these days. . . I reckon at some point in the future I'll make it. . .
Otherwise I quite enjoy my dinners with Mrs Breakfast of Champions
if you could pick anyone from jwn to meet in real life to meet and have dinner with, who would that be?
let's exclude all those who you are already friends with, who you know and love from jwn in real life.
so or me, that excludes my friend ann and also curious butterfly.

this may come as a shock to some people, but the current forum structure was kind of thrown together without much real thought and then evolved a bit over time.
there are a few things that particularly grate on me and areas where i don't think the subjects work particularly well.
'friends' is a bit vague and becomes a dumping ground, news & world events vs politics & current affairs is hard to decide sometimes, child abuse is a scandal but isn't contained withing 'scandals & coverups' etc.... with a new forum platform imminent, it's a good time to solicit ideas to improve things.
A 'Welcome' section under Members Only might be a nice addition. Would help keep track of all the newbs.
the death of a jw and the birth of me the apostate.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2lwgowdpj8.
a huge thanks to my friend ray publisher (jwstruggle) for posting my video for me.
now that i am no longer held prisoner from the fear of watchtower, i can now help others!.
Great video, wonderful that you got out with your husband and parents. Sad the rest of your family has taken their position against you, but that's what they're programmed to do (honestly it doesn't sound like you're missing out on much. . .)
Best of luck to your husband in school.

anyone getting/hearing how baptism numbers are this summer @ conventions?
in previous years, reports showed less baptisms per attendance numbers.
overall, annual 2012 service report showed for u.s. reduction in baptisms..
Over 2000 at the convention, 7 baptized. I think that makes a yearly average of about 1%

i'm new to this forum and wanted to give everyone a shout out.
i've been a silent observer of this forum for a long time, but now i feel it's time for me to break the silence and get involved.
i've been inactive since november of last year.
Great intro DILLO. Welcome
the more you know, i guess.. also, they used a metaphor likening them to known sex offenders.

good times over here in day 2. .
Also, they used a metaphor likening them to known sex offenders.
As opposed to the unknown sex offenders the Society hides behind a cloak of secrecy.
By the way, did they mention any "apostate lies" in your talk, such as "Jehovah's witnesses supported hitler in WWII". Just curious, because although I heard that on the YouTube version of the talk, my wife didn't hear that at her DC.

"Lord Hanuman" bears a ballpark resemblance to Joe the Camel.
i thought it was fitting for me to share my freedom from the witnesses story on independence day weekend.. i dont have any secret info, just experiences that happened to me and started to open my eyes.. i was a third generation, raised in the truth kid who was never supposed to be born, and then never supposed to graduate high school.
ive now been out of high school longer than i was in school.. the beginning of the end started a little less than a decade ago.
i was late 20s at the time.
Welcome FREE
Thanks for sharing your story, and so glad you and your husband made a clean break. Takes a special relationship to do that.
hello, first let me apologixe for both my spelling and my grammer in advance, both are not my strong points.. i'll keep this short.
since i've been a child my mother has studied on and off with jw's ( i'm now 34) so i've been around it most of my life, i studied on and off myself for around 10 years.
thank's to this site and jwfacts i'll never study or step foot inside a kingdom hall again.
Welcome and no, not harsh at all. There are times when you need to be black-and-white and firm about it.
